As health, safety, and accident prevention are the most important factors for the workforce of any company, the Safety Technician has the important mission of providing the employer with advice and recommendations regarding Occupational Health and Safety (OSH).
Their role includes advisory responsibilities for the prevention, supervision, and improvement of working conditions, as well as the training of the workforce.
If your company employs even one employee, you as an employer are required under Law 3850/10 to consult with a Safety Technician.
His advice is given verbally and in writing, and then the Safety Technician records his recommendations in the company’s special logbook, which is paginated and certified by the Labor Inspectorate. The employer, in turn, must sign a statement confirming that they have taken note of the Safety Technician’s suggestions and advice.
*In cases where the special book does not need to be stamped, it may be kept electronically.
