When do we use the Building Code and when do we use the NOK/GOK? Is one superior to the other?

1. The purpose of these building regulations is to regulate the construction of building works as a whole and in their individual components, so that they serve their intended purpose and, under normal maintenance conditions, meet the following requirements for an economically acceptable service life:
- Improving the comfort, health, and safety of tenants and neighbors
- Improving the quality, safety, durability, aesthetics, and functionality of buildings
- Protecting the environment
- Facilitating and promoting scientific research in the field of construction
- Increasing productivity in the building construction sector
2. GOK is the old general building regulation and applies only in cases referring to buildings constructed on the basis thereof.
3. N.O.K. is the abbreviation for the New Building Regulations, which set out the terms, restrictions, and conditions for carrying out any construction work within or outside approved town or settlement plans.
In new buildings, we use 1 and 3.
