Number of seats in establishments of public health interest

The maximum number of seats that can be installed in the customer area of Healthcare Establishments is the quotient of the division of its usable area by the space required for each seat, as applicable, as specified below in accordance with circular on the subject: Provision of clarifying instructions for the application of Health Provision Y1g/G.P/oik94643/07 (Government Gazette 1384/3-8-2007 t.b) supplementing and amending No. A1b/8577/1983 (Government Gazette 526, tb/24.9.1983) on health inspections and permits for the establishment and operation of health-related businesses, as well as the general and specific conditions for the establishment and operation of food and/or beverage laboratories and establishments (Ref. No. Y1g/G.P./66803, Athens 16/5/2008).
(Regarding the calculation of the total area for the placement of tables and chairs in establishments of public health interest:
• In establishments where both indoor and outdoor seating are used and the total area exceeds 70 square meters, the capacity of each space is calculated separately by dividing the usable area by a factor of 1.40, and the total capacity of the operating license includes the capacity of each space separately as well as the total capacity.
• In small shops where the total usable area does not exceed 50 square meters, the capacity calculation factor is one (1).
• In stores where the total usable floor space and outdoor area is between 50 m² and 70 m², their capacity is calculated at fifty (50) seats.
• In establishments where, for whatever reason, the owners do not wish to develop seating in both the indoor and outdoor areas at the same time, but wish to use the indoor area during the winter season and the outdoor area during the summer season, the capacity of the establishment will be calculated separately for each area. The layout and equipment of these establishments will be that which corresponds to the area with the greater capacity. In such cases, the desire not to develop the seating capacity simultaneously shall be expressly stated in the application submitted by the interested party to the Municipal Authority during the process of submitting the supporting documents for the license. The opinion of the Health Service shall state the following: “… with a capacity of … (number indicated) seats in the closed room during the winter season and … (number) seats during the summer season, in the designated outdoor area, provided that there is a right of use, the simultaneous deployment of seats in the hall and in the outdoor area is not permitted. The simultaneous development of seats constitutes an extension of the establishment and the provisions of Article 6, paragraph 5 of A1b/8577/83 of the Health Regulation must be immediately enforced by the Municipal Authority.”
DOCUMENTATION FOR THE ACT OF DETERMINING BANK SEATS
1) Certified copy of store license
2) Plans in 4 originals approved by an engineer, on a scale of 1/50 of the interior ground floor and exterior seating area.
3) Certificate of occupancy for the store where the new seating area will be developed, based on the building permit issued by the Urban Planning Department, Building Permit Issuing Department if it concerns the interior of a store.
4) Certificate of Prasia in accordance with the Approved Town Plan Signboard from the Urban Planning Directorate, Department
