Article 7

Simplification of regulations for the use of music and musical instruments
1. The interested party shall notify the use of music in a special field of the notification, specifying the maximum A-weighted sound level, the venue, etc. If the notification or change concerns only music, the Municipality shall notify only the competent Health Service of the Regional Unit and the Greek Police.

2. If music and musical instruments are used in an outdoor area, an engineer specializing in soundproofing and acoustics or another scientist with relevant expertise shall be available to the supervisory authorities at the facility, and shall prepare a technical report in accordance with health regulations.

The same procedure will be followed for tourist facilities within tourist facilities.

3. The permit referred to in paragraph 3 of Article 3 of Police Regulation 3/1996 (B’ 15) concerning the extension of working hours shall continue to apply in accordance with the provisions of paragraph 3 of Article 29 of Law. 4442/2016. To obtain a permit for extended opening hours, the interested party must submit a relevant application to the municipality, presenting only the proof of submission of the notification, without any other supporting documents.

4. Obligations or licenses related to copyright law are not affected.

The obligations or licenses referred to in the previous paragraph do not constitute a required supporting document or content of the notification of music use or the license referred to in the previous paragraph.

The use of music or musical instruments is permitted in accordance with the provisions of current legislation, without the need for a prior permit under Police Regulation 3/1995, which was approved by Decision 1023/2/37 ia/1996 of the Minister of Public Order (B’15).
The terms of use remain unaffected.

If you plan to use music or musical instruments, you must include a statement of use in the notification referred to in Article 3.

The use of music outside of business hours requires a permit issued in accordance with paragraph 3 of Article 3 of Police Regulation 3/1995.
Provided that the conditions for granting it are met, the license is granted without the submission of any supporting documents other than proof of submission of the notification.

Obligations or licenses related to the legislation on intellectual property are not affected
