The Council of State ruled that the law on the regularization of unauthorized buildings is constitutional.

According to reports, the plenary session of the Council of State ruled that the Ministry of Environment’s law on the regularization of unauthorized buildings (4178 of 2013) is constitutional.
The Council ruled that the provisions of the law do not violate the Constitution or conflict with fundamental constitutional principles.
The only provision that was deemed unconstitutional is the one that provides for the exemption from demolition of unauthorized buildings for which a final court decision has already been issued.
