Increases in building materials in numbers [Tables]

The General Price Index for New Residential Building Construction Materials of the Hellenic Statistical Authority, with base year 2015=100.0 and reference month July 2021, showed an increase of 4.1% compared to the corresponding index for July 2020, compared to a decrease of 0.4% recorded when comparing the corresponding indices for 2020 with those for 2019 (Table 1).

The ELSTAT General Index for July 2021, compared to the index for June 2021, showed an increase of 0.5%, compared to an increase of 0.1% recorded when comparing the corresponding months of 2020 (Table 2).

The average index for the twelve-month period from August 2020 to July 2021, compared to the corresponding index for the twelve-month period from August 2019 – July 2020, showed an increase of 1.1%, compared to a decrease of 0.1% recorded when comparing the corresponding previous twelve-month periods (Table 3).
