A FEW WORDS ABOUT THE IKA’S 3 TABLES
The Social Security Institution (IKA) should be informed by the YDOMs about the issuance of small-scale work permits, without us as engineers having to take any action.
In order for the owner (not the engineer) to be compliant with the law, they must declare the start and end dates of the work to the Social Security Institution (IKA).
The YDOM does not require an IKA 1, 2, or 3 table (as applicable) with the minimum calculated stamps as required for the issuance of building permits.
For jobs where the budget is calculated in a detailed rather than a conventional manner, we use Table 3.
If we collaborate with a construction company that will undertake, for example, the thermal facade, we first need a good agreement to clarify who pays the Social Security contributions.
Provided that the company in question provides us with an invoice listing all the work mentioned in the permit, we can submit this to the Social Security Institution (IKA) to justify the minimum number of stamps.
Please note, however, that the invoice must be for an amount that covers these costs.
In other words, in the case of a company, we are not talking about unskilled professions but skilled ones, such as plumbers, electricians, etc.
Procedure for opening and closing an AMOE at IKA:
Each construction project has its own AMOE (construction project registration number), for which a permit must be issued by the competent urban planning authority.
The notification is made to the competent branch of the Social Security Institution (IKA) in the area of the project and Table 3 is submitted, which is received by the competent IKA branch, stamped and signed by the licensed engineer, which lists the work to be carried out and the corresponding daily wages required based on the engineer’s estimate.
The branch office provides the AMOE number and issues an information note on the phases of the work and the corresponding daily wages. Upon obtaining the AMOE, the owner is required to make an electronic inventory of the project on the IKA website.
At the end of each month, a Detailed Periodic Declaration (APD) for the Construction Project is submitted electronically using electronic codes. The stamps are paid for each month until the project’s inventory stamps are completed.
Once this number has been filled in, the owner completes a “Declaration of Change in Construction Project Details” requesting the completion of a private project.
